Services:

Sunday Morning services are held at our Stoke Worship Centre at 9:45AM.
Located at 271 Songer Street, Stoke.

A short 30 minute reflectional worship service is held 11:00AM bi-weekly on Wednesdays at our Richmond Worship Centre located at 11 Florence St, Richmond.

Any additional services will be announced on our website.

WHAT’S ON

Tuesdays 9.00 am: Prayer Time: ‘The House’ lounge, Champion Road.

Tuesdays 5.00 pm: Whakatū women walking leaving from The House, 34 Champion Road. A relaxed 45-60 minute walk. Queries to Vivienne.   All welcome regardless of whether you join in the November weekend walk.

Fridays 7pm—10 pm:   Indoor Bowls, Stoke Hall.

Monday 24 Sept 7.30 pm:  Renovare spiritual growth group will meet at Tania and Chris Levett’s home. . Newcomers very welcome.   Enquiries – Elaine.

Tuesday 25 Sept  10.15 am:  Whakatū Mens’ Group meet in carpark here (Songer Street) for carpooling to  Brook—Waimarama Sanctuary. We will walk in the Sanctuary and learn more about it. Bring your lunch and thermos and good walking wear. Ring Don for further details.  In weather adverse, we will attend the documentary “Spitfire’ at State Cinema, 10.45am. Released to mark the RAF’s centenary.

Wednesday 26 Sept 10 amMovies Champion Rd. Morning tea then movie starts promptly 10.30am, finishing by 12.30pm. A gold coin donation to cover costs. MOVIE  Drama‘Hats Off to Christmas’.  Small town hat shop needs a miracle to help keep operating.

Wednesday 26 Sept 12.30pm:  Kathryn McDaniel  fundraising luncheon at Helen Kings.  Cost $15. RSVP for catering.  I look forward to seeing you all there.

Wednesday 26 Sept 2.30—4.00 pm: Small group study on the Holy Spirit.  The House, Champion Road. Final discussion to share with Sage.

Saturday 6 Oct 7.30pm: Armchair Travellers. Whakatu Church Hall. Tracey Grose presents ‘A Walk in the Cevennes (mountain range in southern France) without a Donkey. Entry donation supports Nelson Ark, supporting at risk children.

Sunday 4 Nov:   Decommissioning service at ex St David’s, 11 Florence Street, Richmond after the 9.45 service at Songer Street, Stoke.   Details coming later.   Meanwhile mark the date in your diary and let others who may be interested know.

Tuesday 6 Nov 7.30 pm: Christian Women Communicating Inc’s meeting. Headingly Centre, Richmond.  Vanessa MacCarthy from the Waikato will be speaking about her journey with God through some rather difficult times.   Enquiries – Elaine Henry.

9-11 Nov ‘Simply the Story Bible’ Story Telling Workshop.  Story telling is an effective method of Bible teaching in formal and informal situations with people of all ages. Friday—Sunday  16-18 November :  Ladies Weekend tramp (two day)  at Lake Rotoiti.  In preparation, all welcome to join Tuesday weekly walks.  Details of weekend to come at a later date.
