Sunday Morning services are held at our Stoke Worship Centre at 10:00AM. Located at 271 Songer Street, Stoke. A short 30 minute reflectional worship service is held 10:00AM bi-weekly on Wednesdays at our "The House" located at 34 Champion Rd, Richmond. Any additional services will be announced on our website.

Fridays: 7pm: Indoor Bowls, 271 Songer Street church Hall.   New members welcome, experience not needed.  Join in for a fun evening. More information ring Anne 5380756.

April 23rd 10am: Renovare Group meet 34 Champion Rd, Richmond.

Wednesday 28th April 2pm: Book Club meeting. An opportunity for people to offer any book reviews of their reading; share interest in particular authors; enjoy a cuppa and book chat. Anyone is welcome – relaxed atmosphere, no compulsion to bring a book review just come along if interested in reading. Contact Eileen Gordon.

May 2nd– 4th:   Annual Presbytery Retreat Hanmer Springs This will follow on from the Coracle.

Congregational meeting immediately after the 10 am service on Sunday 9 May.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive recommendations from the Governance Council regarding our updated Mission Plan and renewing the position of Local Missions Minister (Sage’s present position) which currently expires in January 2022.   In the next couple of weeks, copies of the Mission Plan will be emailed to all those on the Weekly Bulletin distribution list and hard copies will be available in the foyer.

Clearing out the house at 34 Champion Road.  This is well underway.  Here’s some info for you on what’s happening:

Items required for our new worship centre will be stored in the large container now on site at Champion Road. The Tongan congregation will help us with this on Saturday 8 May.  If you would like to help too, this would be appreciated.  See either Frank or Frances Robinson or Louise Walmsley.

Items that require special storage conditions e.g. the puppets, will be stored at Songer Street.

Items that are used for meetings etc at the house will remain there until it is time to vacate the house.

Items no longer required by Whakatu Presbyterian will be sold at our garage sale on Saturday 15 May – see separate notice for details.

Personal items  If you have personal items at the house which you want back, please ensure these are collected before Friday 7 May.

Garage Sale at Champion Road, Richmond Saturday 15 May 8.30 – 12 noon.  We will only be selling church items currently stored at Champion Road that are  no longer required.  Helpers are needed to set up the garage sale on Friday 14 May and to sort the unsold items at 12 noon on Saturday 15th.  If you can help, please contact either Frank or Frances Robinson or Elaine Henry.  Unfortunately, we will not be accepting donated items for selling from parishioners.  

Wanted:  People to make morning tea for those working at Champion Road house on Saturday 8th May and for the Garage Sale on Saturday 15th May.   If you can help, please let Frank or Frances Robinson or Elaine Henry know.

Day Aside (Spiritual Growth Ministries). You are invited to join Ilene Allan for this ‘Day Aside’ – Theme:  Dry Bones.

  • Come for a time of refreshment, reflection, silence & sharing.

Bible Society 175th Celebration. You are invited to a visiting Roadshow to mark the Bible Society’s NZ presence of 175 years in Nelson.

  • Headingly Centre, Richmond – Sat 24th April at 3pm (doors open 2.30pm).
  • Come along to see displays about NZ’s rich bible history, hear stories from supporters and hear out vision for the future of Bible Society Mission here in Aotearoa.
  • Coffee, tea and sweet treats will be provided.

Unity Outreach Lunch – You are invited to a Richmond-Waimea Minister’s Pastor lunch meeting with presentation and discussion facilitated by Dave Mann on how we might increase the functionality of our unity together as Christian churches across this nation.  (See poster on foyer noticeboard).
