Online Worship Services coming up:
Wednesday 1st April 10:30am
Sunday 5th April 10:00a.m
These services will be online using software called “Zoom”. See the invite link in the parish email and/or the weekly bulletin or contact staff for the number.
Note: At last Sunday’s online service over 35 folk gathered online together using Zoom. It was great connecting! We really enjoyed seeing familiar faces. It worked really well.
Why are we using Zoom? Well – what is church?
We don’t think church is about singing hymns or preaching and the one hour of power. Rather, it is about being connected in community together with God and each other.
We wonder if watching a live-stream of a church service is more about being entertained then being church. Now, entertainment church probably does have it’s place, but we prefer two way connecting.
Can we encourage you to connect during this time of COVID-19 lockdown. Have face to face gatherings in virtual rooms, in community and at the same time invite the active presence God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We know we are all using our phones a lot to connect – that is great. We also hope you can make it to the online services and other online events.
God Bless, from Jon, Sage, Xaylan and Kaye.
All usual church events and gatherings are cancelled…..but see our online events…..
